[HUMAN.] Elaine Nadine Diana. Masquerade__2_by_rebellyell

We say what we feel.

Birth Name: Madeleine Laetitia Ambler.
Changed Name: Elaine Nadine Diana
Nicknames: E.N.D., The Green Eyed Monster, The stalker.
Race: Human. (The Court of Neverland)
Hometown: A small town in France.
Current Residence: Neverland. (:
Gender: Female.
Age: Physically, Elaine looks around sixteen years old. However, her true age is at about two hundred thirteen years old.
DOB: June Second.
Orientation: Straight.
Status: Single.

Then we stop ourselves.

Elaine had always been known for being rather leggy, standing at the height of five-nine, while weighing around one-hundred and twenty-six pounds. She had always been good at running due to her long legs, which she had grown to love.

Elaine's posture is straight for the most part, but whenever she sits, she has a habit of slumping over. This could cause damage down the road, but Elaine isn't too worried about her stance at the moment. Though she does get a lot of comments about her hunched back, she gets an equal amount about her posture when she's standing. All in all, she doesn't care, but whenever she wants to make a good impression, she makes sure her posture is acceptable - both standing and sitting.

When walking, her pace is sedate yet swift. She doesn't hurry herself to her next destination, yet she doesn't walk so leisurely that it takes her a while to get there. When she walks, she normally clasps her hands together in front of her or she has them folded against her chest (once in a while one hand will be up by her mouth, since she bites her nails when nervous.) Her steps are normally close together, giving others the impression that she's either nervous or bothered by something.

Shoulder length, straight, brown hair sits up top her head, normally down, but every so often is fastened into a low, side ponytail. Elaine’s hair is normally wavy and lifeless; She has no layers nor bangs, and often doesn't even tend to her damaged hair. She simply wakes up, runs a brush through her hair, then gets to work. If her hair is absolutely unacceptable, then she will most likely tie it up.

Her eyes are nothing special - just two, cobalt blue orbs stuck below her forehead. Her mother always told her that her eyes were the key to her soul, but being only a ignorant child, she ignored her mother. Unlike most people, her mother had noticed the detail in her eyes. Their azure blue irises contained specks of gold and sliver, which her mother referred to as 'jewels.'

Her clothing style is simple, yet elegant. Elaine normally wears a long black dress with a stylish black coat on top. For shoes, she normally goes with either high heels or boots, since they seem to be most comfortable to her. Finishing off her outfit, she wears a detailed black beaded necklace around her neck. Her mother had given it to her on her fifteenth birthday and she's adored the piece of jewelry ever since.

And just walk away.

Elaine hadn’t changed much since she was a child. She had always been overly obsessive, forgetful, rude, and conceited. All throughout her life, her parents had reminded her of this, but every time she’d bark some rude reply back at them, then carry on with life. It wasn’t with just her parents; It was with every single person who spoke to her. The majority of her peers had spoken up about her behavior, however she had refused to listen. It got worse over the years, until she had grown into a monster. At first, she did have some good qualities, but over time, she had hardened her heart and everything bad about her had taken over, defeating the good in her. However, her sweet center is still there, hidden beneath her negative, fibbing front.

When first meeting Elaine, she may seem a bit quiet. It may seem as if she has nothing to say, when really, all sorts of questions and topics are running through her head. Until she musters up enough effort to speak, she’ll simply nod or say the minimum amount of words possible. Once she does speak, the things she says often sound rather demented and she won’t leave you until she absolutely must. Whether you’re male or female, she’ll follow you around like a lost puppy until you scold her for her actions. Then, you may hear her faintly chuckle as her eyes begin to water, and before too long, she’ll stay put, watching you leave her. After a few minutes however, she’ll continue chasing after you until you notice again.

Whether you become a friend to Elaine or a crush, she won’t leave you alone. She won’t even give you a good five minutes to yourself without asking a number of questions and chuckling every now and then. Often times, once someone speaks to her, she feels the need to find quite a bit of information about the person, especially if she’s infatuated with him or her. Elaine won’t rest until she knows the basics about a crush and once she has obtained this little information, she feels the need to find more, until she knows every single thing about them.

Something else that irks quite a bit of people is Elaine’s forgetfulness. She’ll often end up asking you the same question multiple times until it’s burned into her memory. Since she struggles with remembering things, she often recalls things differently from the way they happened. The majority of the time, she over exaggerates about the event and makes it greater than it was. Due to this, she constantly lies so that she’ll seem like a heroic and wanted individual. It’s not like anyone has tired to help her either, since most of her peers are entertained by her stories and life. No one has ever commented about them. The only people who have even slightly hinted to her about it, was her parents and siblings.

Though some might think of Elaine as kind, this is far from true. Elaine does have a problem with lying, but if you ask for her opinion on something, she’ll give it to you. She doesn’t care if she sounds rude or unladylike; All that matters to her is knowing that you listen to her. If she gives you her advice, she expects you to follow it. If you completely ignore it, don’t be surprised to wind up in some huge conflict with her. Chances are, she’ll either punch you square in the face or run away.

Elaine’s always struggled with jealously. In fact, in grade school, they used to josh around and call her ‘The Green Eyed Monster.’ She had never felt happy for a friend when something good happened to them. Instead, she was extremely jealous and often that would cause the two to end their friendship. It didn’t help when they gloated about their success either, since that would only make Elaine even more envious.

She may seem like a nice girl with a few problems, but you’re just telling yourself a lie. Sure, you may think it’s cute when she follows you around so sweetly, but until you glance back and watch her for a decent amount of time, you’ll realize how big of a mistake talking to her was. Having Elaine admire you is something most people dread. You may not see it at first, but once you look close enough, you’ll see how deranged the girl is. You’ll see the demented look in her eyes after a while or her crooked smile. Obviously, she’s not okay. Even at first when she’ll just quietly standing there, you may notice it. If not then, you will over time. Some people just call her jumpy. However, when she shows up on their doorstep, they’ll quickly change their minds.

To sum Elaine up, there are two words that would do the job quite nicely.
1. Deranged.
2. Stalker.

Never looking back.

Her parents always pushed her to make good grades in school. They always told her to use her manners and be respectful. Often times, they’d compare her to her Mrs. Hill’s daughter, Hannah, who seemed like the perfect person. Their friendship was forced, however Hannah didn’t mind it. To her, it was more popularity. Hannah’s motto was simply, “The more the merrier.” Their friendship started when Madeleine was only seven. Whenever her parents dropped her off at Hannah’s house, most of the time, there would be another girl there. That girl was Kylie Secton. From their first meeting, the two had stuck together like glue, leaving Hannah out of the mix. Feeling excluded, Hannah would strive to get herself noticed, but it never worked. You see, both Kylie and Madeleine had a rather foul sense of humor. Death and despair sent the two into fits of laughter, while corny jokes and simple puns made Hannah crack a smile.
They were different; It was a fact.

It wasn’t until Madeleine was ten years old when Hannah and her started devolving a friendship. It had started when they were walking together through town, Hannah yapping away about some guy who lived next door. When she had finished, there was an awkward silence for about a minute. Seeing as this was her chance at becoming Madeleine’s friend, Hannah suddenly belched, causing Madeleine to chortle obnoxiously. When she had finished laughing, Hannah smiled weakly, then opened her mouth to speak.
“So, I heard someone died today when their house burned down. Funny, right?” Once again Madeleine had snickered loudly and this behavior didn’t cease until the two were at home.
Through one belch, there came a friendship.

Over time, Hannah drifted away from both Kylie and Madeleine. Boys and clothes had become a huge thing for Hannah, while it didn’t really matter to her friends. Before long, Hannah had made all new friends and started a completely new life. Though Madeleine did shed a tear or two because of the loss of her dear friend, she moved on.

At twelve years old, Madeleine had convinced herself that she was 'in love.' It was her first boyfriend; The first guy she had ever obsessed over. He had asked her on a date right on the spot and she had quickly accepted his offer. They lasted for about two years, until Madeleine was fourteen and Karl was fifteen. They had only decided to end their relationship because they never had any time for each other. Plus, there was no affection what so ever in their relationship. The most they had done was hold hands and hug, which didn’t seem like enough to either one of them. Karl never did find out about Madeleine following him around or about how she stole some of his possessions. As soon as they had ended what they had, Madeleine didn’t feel anything towards him. Instead, she went on with life, until he asked for her back. He promised bigger and better things and although it sounded lovely, she had turned him down in a heartbeat.
She wanted something better…
And that’s exactly what she got.

Madeleine had first seen him tending to his parent’s garden out front. Never before had she seen him, even though he lived just down the road. Madeleine had been talking a brisk walk with her sister, Simone, when she spotted the young man. It wasn’t until he had finished his work that he noticed her. Standing to his brawny legs and walking over, he introduced himself to the two young ladies. The name Charles Cade had forever been burned into her memory. It was now impossible for her to ever forget him.

Over the course of the week, she had found a decent amount of information about Charles. Such as his full name, which was Charles Bastian Cade, and his age, being only sixteen. Her obsession with Charles was much greater than the one she had with Karl. Most weekends, she would follow Charles home and sleep in his lawn until the sun rose the next morning. She simply wouldn’t leave him alone and once the two started devolving a friendship, he was all she ever thought about. It wasn’t until they had known each other for a few months before Charles had admitted to liking her. Feeling as if this was the moment she had been waiting for, she announced her feeling for him as well, however nothing else was said. They stood in awkward silence for about ten minutes before Charles dismissed himself.

After a month had passed, Charles asked her on a date. Madeleine had thought this man was the love of her life. How she felt about Karl was nothing compared to how she felt about Charles. Within the course of a year, the two had done far more than simply hug. In fact, they had both lost something very dear to them because of their love for one another – Something they could never get back.

However, their relationship didn’t last forever. He eventually broke up with her without reason and about a month later he was seeing someone else. Madeleine had figured he’d leave her for another girl, causing her to become extremely jealous of the two. After a while, Madeleine had come up with the idea to break them up. As she had heard others say before,
“If I can’t have him, then no one can.”

Seeing the love of her life loving another women was too much for her to handle. It took a month for her to get enough strength to go through with her plan and unlike most people; Madeleine didn’t regret what she had done. Because of love, she had murdered the girl Charles had asked to marry him. The racket they had caused was enough to wake Charles up and he had walked in on Madeleine quietly dragging the body out of the room. When she saw him watching her, she was just was frozen as he was. Charles looked at both Madeline and the mangled body of his loved one. Opening his mouth to speak, Madeleine partially sprang at him, stabbing him viciously until he had bled to death. Realizing what she had done, she left the bodies where they were, and ran.

Madeleine didn’t know where she was going nor did she care. All she knew was that she needed to get out of here and never come back. All she remembered was running in darkness for hours, until she collapsed and awoke in an unknown location. There were creatures living there that she had never seen before. Several of them were kneeled beside her, cleaning the blood off her. When her blue eyes flickered open, they sprang to their feet, and smiled broadly at her. As they asked for her name, Madeleine was too out of it to response and thinking she was unable to speak, they came up with a name for her. Elaine Nadine Diana.

As she explored the land, she knew she wasn’t anywhere close to home. She couldn’t help but wonder how she got here. Every morning she asked herself the same thing; She still does, over two hundred years later.
